We are currently looking for a React Developer for our brand new location - Lisbon!

As a React Developer at MANTA, you will help us elevate our product to the next level. Not only will you deliver new features, but also amaze our customers with stunning visual quality, performance, reliability, and seamless user experience.

About your team: The engineering team is the largest of all our teams with close to 50 colleagues. We have eight teams working on 8 million lines of code split into 1000 modules and delivering over 1000 new features per year. Feels like a challenge? Good. Our team is growing and we are looking for developers, who enjoy being part of the whole development cycle from analysis to implementation and integration. Whether you are intrigued by solving complex algorithmic problems or a fan of faster development cycles and want to see your code in action, you'll find a place at Manta. Our stack is in Java 11, Spring, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Tomcat, Neo4j, Antlr, H2 DB, Mybatis, ActiveMQ Artemis, React, Swagger, JavaScript, C#, Maven, Git, and SonarQube.

What you'll do:

  • Lead frontend execution of product development from prototyping through launch on the web
  • Help define solid front-end architecture
  • Focus on testability and appropriate test coverage
  • You can rely on and even further improve our current CI automation and the static analysis pipeline
  • Improve our current best practices of the React development
  • Implement web interfaces using React
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Work and communicate with backend engineers, designers, and product managers
  • Write and maintain high-quality code, including diagnosing and fixing bugs in production
  • Contribute to the product direction and team strategy

Who you are:

  • Proficient in front-end using React
  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or 2+ years of relevant working experience building commercial applications
  • You have a firm grasp of the JavaScript language. Knowing Saga, Redux, JEST, and Enzyme is definitely a plus
  • Experience with Java-based applications is a plus
